Happy New Year to all! What a surprise it was this morning to be back from our vacation on the Oregon Coast and to have snow covering the ground. Such a lovely way to end the holiday break! The Renaissance Man and I put on warm clothes and braved the chill this afternoon with a brisk walk around town to see the sights.
We’re so fortunate in Dundee to have a community that values open space and parks. It’s taken a great deal of leadership and vision to ensure that developed land is balanced with natural beauty that surrounds us. One of those gems is the Harvey Creek Trail. I wrote a post about the trail back in March, and this past weekend we went to visit again.
Happy Thanksgiving! I hope that you get to spend time with your love ones today and eat all the mash potatoes, turkey, and cranberry sauce you want! The Renaissance Man and I are heading to my parents house this afternoon and will be partaking in a small family event. It always feels good to be with family this time of year!
As I mentioned before, we spent the summer frolicking in the sunshine and I didn’t do a very good job of keeping up with blog posts. However, I can say that I really appreciate that I kept taking pictures, because as the weather starts to get cold and rainy, looking at our summer fun certainly lifts my spirits.
